May 15, 2017, the Belt and Road Forum for International Coorperation has attracted worldwide attention. During the day, YRIC co-organizeda seminar with the Silk Rold Research Center on the development of culture, education and health tourism under the Belt and Road Initiative project at the CPPCC Culture and History Museum in Beijing.

Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Chen Yuan, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Health He Xisheng, member of the former Party Group of the Ministry of Culture Li Hongfeng, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Phoenix Satellite TV Liu Changle, Yu Mengsun, Academician of the Academy of Engineering, Peng Long, President of the Beijing Foreign Studies University, Wang Minqing, Party Secretary of the China International Culture and Communication Center, Long Yuxiang and Executive Director of theYRIC Liu Meng attended the seminar. Chen Yuan, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, said that the cultural connotation is the core attribute of the Belt and Road Initiative. People-to-people bond provides the public support for implementing the Initiative. For thousands of years, the Silk Road Spirit - "peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit" - has been passed from generation to generation, promoted the progress of human civilization, and contributed greatly to the prosperity and development of the countries along the Silk Road.  He also appointed that China's economy is closely connected with the world economy. China will stay committed to the basic policy of opening-up, build a new pattern of all-around opening-up, and integrate itself deeper into the world economic system. The Initiative will enable China to further expand and deepen its opening-up, and to strengthen its mutually beneficial cooperation with countries in Asia, Europe and Africa and the rest of the world. China is committed to shouldering more responsibilities and obligations within its capabilities, and making greater contributions to the peace and development of mankind.

TheSilk Road Research Center is in charged by the Office of the CPPCC National Committee.Chen Yuan, the vice chairman of CPPCC National Committee served as its Chairman. This research center is the strategic high-end think tank, serving for the Belt and Road initiative. It was jointly funded by National Development Bank, Tsinghua University, Silk Road Fund, China Development Finance Association and China Finance 40 people. TheSilk Road Research Center aims to develop the stategic  research, policy making, personnel training, public opinion guide, public diplomacy and others.
