On March 23, 2017, YRIC Executive President Liu Meng joined the exchange activities held by Hamburg City in Shanghai. He had a communication on setting YRIC in Germany with Project Director of Hamburg Business Aresa Brand and Deputy Director of Hamburg Liaison Office in China Pan Hua.

Hamburg (officially Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Freie und Hansestadt  Hamburg in German), is situated on the shores of the river Elbe in the north-eastern part of Bremen. Hamburg is a state, which equals to a municipality in China. It covers an area of 755.3 square meters. Hamburg has a favorable geographical position for being the second largest city,(second only to Berlin) and the largest international city in Germany. The port of hamburg is the Europe’s largest trading port with China, the Europe’s oldest free trade port, and also one of the most important trading city in Germany. This city has a convenient transportation for being the center of the enlarged European Union and an important gateway to the Eastern Europe, the Central Europe and the Northern Europe. It has engaged in business since the Middle Ages, and is also the cradle of Sino-German trade. Nowadays, Hamburg City has already become the center of Chinese business in Europe, especially in the economics field. Basically, about 50% Chinese enterprises will choose Hamburg as their headquarter to do business in Europe.
